Welcome to Pre-School

Modelling with play dough

Cranmore & Doulting Pre-School has been established since 1981. The school is in Cranmore Village Hall ( also known as the Memorial Hall ).

The aim of the Pre-School is to provide a high quality nursery curriculum for local children thus enabling them to enter school with a positive attitude. Our children are helped to develop self-esteem, commitment to learning and a belief that if they try, they can succeed.

We hope that children will be very happy here and have fun learning through structured and free play. Activities inclued painting, drawing, modelling, sand / water play, imaginative play, puzzles, games and outdoor play.

We follow the Foundation Stage Curriculum and adapt it to each child's needs. There are six main areas:
Communication, language and literacy
Personal, social and emotional development
Maths
Knowledge of the world
Physical development
Creative development

This foundation stage helps children to prepare for the National Curriculum which starts at Year 1 in primary school.
