The Chairman opened the meeting at 7.30pm.

Agenda item 1 - Apologies for absence

Agenda item 5 - Open Meeting

Posts at Long cross, the Waterlip/Stoke St Michael junction are being knocked over by traffic, it is suggested that a letter be composed and sent to Highways, with a copy to Felicity White of Doulting Parish Council.

Suzette Thorner approached the Parish Council to ask for approval for a Memorial seat to be placed at the cricket ground, in memory of Richard Spencer of Tansy who was killed during 2006 in a road traffic accident.

Brenda suggested liaising with the Cricket Club.

Agenda item 6 - Planning

Lee Wright explained the amendments on the revised plans for the Dean Street Farm development.
Application was discussed and approval was proposed.

Agenda Item 7 - Development plan

The Development Plan was reviewed, discussed and amendments suggested.
Stephen Zorab will try and arrange for the Police Community Support Officers to attend the Parish Council meeting in March.

Agenda item 8 - Standing Orders

Standing Orders complete.

Agenda item 9 - Correspondence

No issues.

Agenda item 10 - SALC

No issues

Agenda item 11- Finance

Paul Treby informed that the only payment to leave the account was the Clerks cheque.
Jess will bring the invoice for Fosse to the next meeting.
The contract for the grass cutting will be up for renewal and the possibility of another quote was suggested.

Agenda item 12 - Jills Close

Wicksteed have again sent one invoice instead of the agreed two needed, Richard will contact Wicksteed to have this amended, and also to arrange inspection.

Agenda item 13 - Number of Councillors allowed for PC

Approval for an extra council member has to be from Mendip
It was agreed that another member should join the Council at the next elections in May 2007

Agenda item 14 - Chairman’s urgent matters for consideration

Jess Moore will be attending the Parish Clerk Course on January 19th 2007.

Brenda Edwards asked for it to be recorded that at 2.10am on December 30th 2006 (outside the authorised operating hours for the Stotts site) a heavy goods vehicle was seen leaving the Stotts Transport yard and travelling through Tansey towards the A361.
